ZORKI (Leica copy) rangefinder camera, from 1953-55
MADE IN USSR!
ZORKI rangefinders are Soviet copies of Leica camera and this is the Zorki-1, the first model. Rangefinder and viewfinder are still separate windows, and they are bottom loading cameras. One also needs to remember to cock the shutter before changing the shutter speeds.
On a brighter side – being almost a straight Leica copy, “Barnack” is among the smallest and the lightest rangefinders, and with it’s lens folded makes a really small package.
Camera(s/n 159764) is in excellent condition!

Functionally and mechanically the camera is a joy – everything works very accurate and smooth, pleasure to use.
Lens is Industar-26m s/n 873216 is in very good condition.
Glass is clean and clear, no fungus, no haze. Few micro scratches from wiping / some dust particles are possible but will not affect image quality.
Excellent mechanics – focus is smooth and uniform.
No oil on aperture blades.
Camera went through professional Cleaning Lubricating Adjustment with full disassembly, all mechanisms were cleaned, re-lubricated and readjusted – ready for film!
