If there’s one lens to be called the ultimate Soviet legend it would be the HELIOS-40 1.5\/85. It’s swirly bokeh inspired many into trying the vintage glass, and really, what this lens can do in the right conditions, blows everything else out of the water – vintage or modern.<\/p>\n

Just google “Helios-40” or “Helios-40-2”\u00a0if you haven’t heard about this lens, check the\u00a0\u00a0images it produces\u00a0and you\u00a0will realize what you’ve been missing!<\/span><\/a>\u00a0\u00a0This half a century lens old can produce\u00a0images which will turn many heads!<\/p>\n

\n<\/strong>It has very few signs of normal use on barrel.
\nOptics are clean. Few micro scratching \/ few internal dust particles may be present, but do not affect image quality.<\/p>\n

There’s almost imperceptible amount of haze present, but it will take a very specific set of conditions to notice it’s effect on the images(not necessarily negative one)<\/p>\n

Mechanics are excellent: focusing is smooth and even.<\/p>\n

Aperture bases are with small amount of clear oil on them.<\/p>\n
