Carl Zeiss Jena Sonnar 50mm f1.5 Contax mount lens
According to it’s serial number that is engraved on both front and rear of the lens, this Sonnar dates back to 1939.
Super fast lens of the 30ties and 40ties still rocks on both Contax II and Contax III cameras it was made for as well as on modern mirrorless cameras(via appropriate adapters).
Condition of the lens s/n 2553265: lens barrel is in great condition, with exception of noticeable dent on the filter ring – otherwise hardly any signs of use/age.
Glass is in excellent condition – no fungus, no haze, no scratches.
Light wipe marks/few dust particles are possible, but will not have affect on image quality.
Aperture ring moves smoothly through the whole range.
Aperture blades have oil on them.
