This is classic silver m42 version with preset aperture.
The lens s/n 3477543 is in good overall condition.
Lens has few visible signs of normal use on barrel, filter ring is slightly deformed. Glass is clean and clear, no fungus.
Front lens has slight haze and some micro scratches which might affect image quality in certain lighting conditions.
Mechanics are very good – focus is smooth and even.
Aperture blades are free from oil.
Creates beautiful Biotar style bokeh – out of focus highlights are rendered as beautiful discs, making the background swirly.
